Privacy Policy

// Your data, explained

Privacy Policy

The short version: We don’t collect personal data beyond what’s standard for any website. We don’t sell your data. We don’t run ads. We use analytics to see which pages are popular — that’s it. We use affiliate links, which means third-party companies know you visited their site from ours. That’s the extent of it.

Who we are

The System Vault is an independent review website operated from the Isle of Man. Our website address is: https://thesystemvault.com.

What data we collect and why

Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site — which pages are popular, how long people stay, and where traffic comes from. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data anonymously. We cannot identify you personally from analytics data. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Affiliate links: When you click an affiliate link on our site, you are redirected to a third-party website (e.g., NordVPN, Beehiiv, Semrush). These companies may use cookies to track that you came from The System Vault so they can attribute any purchase to us. We do not control these third-party cookies. Each company has its own privacy policy which we encourage you to read.

Web server logs: Like all websites, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically logs basic connection data including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security and performance monitoring and is managed by Hostinger in accordance with their privacy policy.

Search functionality: If you use the search bar on our site, your search terms are processed locally on the site. We do not store or track individual search queries.

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

Essential cookies: WordPress uses cookies to manage site functionality. These are required for the site to work properly.

Analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish unique users and throttle request rates. These cookies expire after varying periods and do not contain personal information.

Third-party cookies: Affiliate partner websites may set cookies when you click an affiliate link. These are governed by the respective company’s cookie policy, not ours.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality but will not prevent you from reading our content.

What we do NOT collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information through our website. We do not require you to create an account. We do not have a newsletter signup form (yet). We do not run advertisements or use ad-tracking pixels. We do not sell, trade, or share any data with third parties beyond what is described above.

Third-party services

Our site uses the following third-party services which may process data:

Google Analytics (GA4): Website analytics. Data processed by Google LLC. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Google Search Console: Search performance monitoring. Data processed by Google LLC.

Hostinger: Web hosting provider. Server logs and site data managed by Hostinger International Ltd. Privacy policy: https://www.hostinger.com/privacy-policy

Google Fonts: We load fonts (IBM Plex Mono and Orbitron) from Google’s font service. Google may log font requests. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Affiliate disclosure

This site earns revenue through affiliate commissions. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. For full details, please read our Disclosure page.

Data retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ default retention period (14 months). Server logs are managed by Hostinger according to their data retention policies. We do not independently store any visitor data beyond what these services retain.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since we don’t collect personal data directly, the most relevant action you can take is managing your cookie preferences through your browser settings and opting out of Google Analytics. If you have concerns about data held by our third-party services, please contact them directly using the links above.

Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date below. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Contact

If you have questions about this privacy policy or how we handle data, you can reach us through our website. We’re committed to being as transparent about data as we are about our product reviews.
